What it is and how we do it
When a gearbox is damaged beyond economical repair, the answer is to replace the unit. We confirm the decision with diagnosis, weigh the best option (a remanufactured unit, a verified used one or new) and always agree it with you before buying any part.
During installation we cover every detail: correct fluid, electronic calibration when the transmission needs module adaptation, mounts, and a review of brackets and hoses. We do this on domestic and imported cars.
When it is needed
Severe slipping, missing gears, internal contamination from overheating or serious mechanical damage often make repair unfeasible. In these cases, insisting on partial fixes costs more in the end.
We also recommend replacement when the cost of repair approaches the price of a unit in better condition, so you do not pay twice.
