Clutch replacement
A clutch kit restores firm engagement and smooth shifts by replacing disc, pressure plate and bearing together.
What it is and how we do it
The clutch connects and disconnects the engine from the gearbox on every shift. With use, the disc wears and the clutch starts to slip or gets heavy. We replace the full kit — disc, pressure plate and release bearing (actuator) — because changing just one part almost always brings the problem back soon.
While we have access we check the flywheel (resurface or replace when needed), the cylinder/actuator and nearby bearings. We work on domestic and imported cars.
Symptoms and when to come in
A slipping clutch (revs rise but the car does not follow), a pedal that is too hard or too soft, a burnt smell on hills and trouble engaging gears are clear signs of wear. A very high bite point also means the disc is near its end.
Driving with a slipping clutch builds heat and can damage the flywheel, raising the cost. Coming in early avoids that extra expense.
Why it matters and why Mr. Service
The clutch affects safety, fuel use and the gearbox itself. A quality kit fitted correctly, with the flywheel assessed, lasts far longer than a cheap patch.
In Chácara Santo Antônio, we approve a detailed quote before opening the car, deliver with a 3-month warranty, serve all brands and speak Portuguese, English and Turkish.
