Transmission fluid change

A transmission fluid change renews the fluid at the right point and protects the clutches, gears and valves inside the gearbox.

What it is and how we do it

Transmission fluid lubricates, cools and, in an automatic, carries pressure for shifts. Over time it loses its properties and collects wear particles. We always use the fluid specified by the maker — automatic, CVT, dual-clutch or manual — because the wrong type can damage the gearbox.

Depending on the model we change it by drain or by circulation (flush), replace the filter and pan gasket where applicable, and set the level at the correct temperature. We serve domestic and imported cars.

When it is needed

Harder or slower shifts, small jolts, overheating and the maker’s recommended interval all signal the time. Dark fluid or a burnt smell also calls for attention.

CVT and dual-clutch gearboxes are sensitive to the service interval; going past it speeds up internal wear and can cost dearly later.

Why it matters and why Mr. Service

Fluid in good condition is one of the cheapest ways to extend a gearbox’s life. The common mistake — using generic fluid or skipping the change — usually costs far more than proper maintenance.

In Chácara Santo Antônio, we use the right fluid for your car, give a detailed quote, a 3-month warranty, serve all brands and speak Portuguese, English and Turkish.

Frequently asked questions

Is a “sealed” gearbox never serviced?
Even sealed units have a service interval; we check your model’s specification.
Drain or flush?
It depends on the gearbox and fluid condition; we advise the right method.
Does any fluid work?
No; we use exactly what the maker specifies to avoid damage.
