Brake calipers

Brake caliper repair fixes sticking, drag and uneven braking that wear out pads and rotors.

What it is and how we do it

The caliper presses the pads against the rotor through pistons and slides. Over time the pistons can seize from corrosion, the slides dry out and the seals split, making the caliper stick or drag. We inspect piston movement, the slides, pins and seals.

Depending on the case we repair it (seal kit, cleaning and lubricating the slides) or replace the caliper. We bleed the brakes at the end. We serve domestic and imported cars.

Symptoms and when to come in

The car pulling to one side under braking, a burnt smell at one wheel, a hot wheel after stopping, uneven pad wear and a pedal that does not release well are signs of a stuck or dragging caliper.

A dragging caliper raises fuel use and cooks the pad and rotor. Fixing it early avoids ruining freshly replaced parts.

Why it matters and why Mr. Service

A faulty caliper compromises safety and quickly destroys new pads and rotors. Diagnosing and repairing the caliper ensures the rest of the brake work truly lasts.

In Chácara Santo Antônio, we weigh repair versus replacement honestly, give a detailed quote, a 3-month warranty, serve all brands and speak Portuguese, English and Turkish.

It can be; we test to confirm before quoting.
Does it need bleeding after?
Yes; we bleed the brakes to ensure a firm pedal.
