The radiator sheds engine heat; a clogged or leaking one quickly leads to overheating and serious damage.
What it is and how we do it
The radiator exchanges heat between the coolant and the air, keeping the engine at the right temperature. Over time it suffers internal clogging, corrosion and cracks in the plastic tanks. We assess leaks, blocked cores and the cooling fan operation.
Depending on the case we recommend repair or replacement. Cracked plastic tanks and badly blocked cores usually need a new radiator, while minor fixes and cleaning can solve lighter issues.
Symptoms and when to come
Temperature climbing in traffic, coloured fluid stains under the car, frequently topping up the reservoir, or steam from the bonnet. In São Paulo heat the radiator works even harder.
