A/C compressor
The compressor is the heart of the A/C; when it fails the system stops cooling and the whole circuit is at risk.
What it is and how we do it
The compressor pressurises the refrigerant and keeps the A/C circuit working. It is driven by the engine belt through a magnetic clutch. We diagnose noises, seizing, a clutch that will not engage and leaks, reading pressures and checking the electrical drive.
When the compressor needs replacing we also assess the receiver-drier and flush the circuit, because debris from a failed compressor can ruin the new part if the system is not treated properly.
Symptoms and when to come
No cooling at all, grinding or clunking when the A/C engages, a burnt-belt smell, or a compressor clutch that will not spin. Ignoring these signs often turns a simple repair into a full replacement.
Why it matters and why Mr. Service
The compressor is one of the costliest A/C parts, so a correct diagnosis avoids needless replacements. At Mr. Service we confirm the real cause before recommending a part, flush the circuit to protect the new component, serve imported and domestic cars of all brands, get the quote approved before starting and back labour with a 3-month warranty. We speak Portuguese, English and Turkish.
