Cooling pressure & leak test
A pressure test pinpoints cooling leaks before they become overheating, even those that only appear with a hot engine.
What it is and how we do it
We connect a tool that pressurises the cooling system to its working level and watch where pressure escapes. This reveals leaks in hoses, radiator, pump, gaskets and the reservoir cap, including ones that only show under pressure.
We also test the pressure cap, a small and often overlooked part that, when faulty, lets the system lose fluid and boil too early.
Symptoms and when to come
Fluid loss with no visible stain, frequent topping up, a sweet coolant smell, steam from the bonnet, or swinging temperature. It is the ideal step when the car loses coolant and nobody knows why.
