An A/C recharge restores the refrigerant to the exact level so your air conditioning cools fast again and runs efficiently.
What it is and how we do it
The A/C runs as a closed loop with pressurised refrigerant. Over time small losses through fittings and seals reduce cooling. We recover the old gas, pull a vacuum to remove moisture and air, then recharge with the precise amount specified by the manufacturer.
Before recharging we read the low and high side pressures and check the compressor oil, confirming the issue is really low charge and not a hidden leak or mechanical fault.
Symptoms and when to come
Weak cold air, slow cooling, an odd smell when switching on, or the compressor cutting out are classic signs. It is also worth checking before São Paulo summer, when the system works hardest in stop-and-go traffic.
