Heating system service
The heating system uses engine heat to warm the cabin and clear the windows safely.
What it is and how we do it
The heater uses a small internal radiator (heater core) that hot coolant flows through, and the blower pushes that heat into the cabin. We check the core, valves and air direction, plus the coolant level and circulation.
When the heater will not warm up, the cause is usually low coolant, air trapped in the circuit, a clogged core, or a thermostat stuck open. We diagnose before recommending any replacement.
Symptoms and when to come
Cold air even with a warm engine, windows that will not demist, a sweet smell inside, or damp on the passenger carpet (a sign of a leaking core). It matters on cold, wet São Paulo mornings, when clearing the glass fast is a safety issue.
