Module programming & coding

Module programming and coding sets up or replaces the “software” in the car’s control units — essential after module swaps and in many imported-car repairs.

What it is

Beyond parts, a modern car relies on settings written into its electronic control units. When a module is replaced (engine, transmission, key, cluster, among others), it usually needs programming and coding to “talk” to the rest of the vehicle. There are also software updates and component adaptations.

At Mr. Service we use equipment that reaches the main brands’ modules to flash, code and adapt following each manufacturer’s correct procedure.

When it is needed

Replacing or repairing a module, swapping certain sensors and actuators, adding or reprogramming keys, software corrections and adaptations after a repair typically require this procedure.

Without correct coding, a new part may not work, may trigger dashboard lights or enter safe mode. It is a technical step that avoids rework.

Why Mr. Service

We confirm the need during diagnosis, send a detailed quote and only proceed after approval — with a 3-month warranty on labour. We serve every brand, domestic and imported, with service in Portuguese, English and Turkish.
