Cooling system diagnostic
The cooling system diagnostic prevents overheating — the number one cause of serious engine damage.
What we analyse
Cooling involves the radiator, water pump, thermostat, fans, hoses, reservoir and the coolant itself. We check for leaks, system pressure, thermostat and fan operation and the condition of the fluid to identify what is failing.
At Mr. Service we pressure-test the system and watch how the temperature behaves while running, rather than just topping up the coolant and releasing the car.
Warning signs
Rising temperature on the gauge, a warning light, coolant loss, a sweet smell, steam under the hood, weak cabin heating or stains on the floor all point to a cooling problem.
Overheating can warp the cylinder head, blow the gasket and compromise the whole engine. It is one of the few problems where driving on can turn a small repair into a huge one.
Why trust Mr. Service
Correct diagnosis first, a detailed quote before any work and a 3-month warranty on labour. We serve every brand, domestic and imported, with service in Portuguese, English and Turkish.
Frequently asked questions
- The temperature rose; can I keep driving?
- We do not recommend it. Overheating damages the engine fast. Stop safely and bring it in for diagnosis.
- Will just adding coolant fix it?
- If the level dropped, there is consumption or a leak. We find the cause first; topping up alone only delays the problem.
- Does it work for imported cars?
- Yes, every brand. Tell us the model and year; quote before the repair, with a 3-month warranty.
