Power locks
Power locks provide security and convenience; when they fail, doors stop locking or the alarm goes off for no reason.
What it is and how we do it
Power locks use an actuator in each door, controlled by the inside button or the remote. We diagnose seized actuators, remote faults, an unresponsive button, a blown fuse, or a problem in the wiring and comfort module.
We test door by door to see whether the problem is local (one actuator) or general (control, fuse, module), avoiding replacing parts that are fine.
Symptoms and when to come
A door that will not lock, all locks unresponsive, an actuator that noises without locking, a remote that stops working, and locks that open or close on their own. A faulty lock compromises the security of the parked car.
