Battery replacement
The battery powers starting and all the electronics; a weak one leaves your car unresponsive at the worst moment.
What it is and how we do it
The battery stores energy to crank the starter and steady the car electrical network. Before simply selling a new one, we test its charge and health and check that the alternator is charging properly, so we do not replace the wrong part.
On many modern cars a new battery must be registered to the control unit for the charging system to work correctly; we carry out that procedure when the car requires it.
Symptoms and when to come
Slow or laboured cranking, dim lights, a flickering dashboard, needing a jump-start, and intermittent electronic faults. Batteries often fail for good on cold days or after the car sits idle for a while.
Why it matters and why Mr. Service
Replacing without testing can mask a faulty alternator that ruins the new battery quickly. At Mr. Service we test charge and starting before recommending, register the battery when needed, serve all domestic and imported brands, quote before starting and back labour with a 3-month warranty. We speak Portuguese, English and Turkish.
