Oil & filter change
The oil and filter change is the most important engine maintenance — clean oil lubricates, cools and protects internal parts from wear.
What it is and how we do it
We drain the used oil, fit a new filter and refill with oil of the correct viscosity and specification for your engine, per the manufacturer.
While there we check for leaks, the state of the drain plug and gasket, and other fluid levels. We log the mileage so you know when the next change is due.
Symptoms and when to come in
Dark, dirty oil, an oil light on the dash, a metallic engine noise or an overdue mileage interval all mean the change is late.
Follow your manual and how you use the car; heavy traffic and short trips call for more frequent changes. If in doubt, we check the dipstick and advise.
Why it matters and why Mr. Service
Old oil loses its ability to lubricate and builds up residue, speeding wear and risking serious, costly engine failure. It is the cheapest protection there is.
