The engine air filter ensures only clean air enters combustion — when dirty, it robs power and raises fuel use.
What it is and how we do it
The air filter traps dust, leaves and particles before they reach the cylinders, protecting the engine and keeping the air-fuel mix correct.
We remove the element, assess the dirt and the state of the housing and seals, and replace it when needed with the right filter for your engine. We also check for false air intake.
Symptoms and when to come in
Power loss, higher fuel use, rough idle, a fuel smell and a visibly dark filter mean it is time to replace it.
In São Paulo, with traffic and dust, the filter clogs faster. Check it at every service and change it sooner if you drive on dusty roads or near roadworks.
Why it matters and why Mr. Service
A clogged filter chokes the engine, forces the injection to compensate and raises consumption; particles that slip through wear cylinders and sensors.
