Fuel filter
The fuel filter traps impurities before they reach the injectors — clogged, it causes misfires, hesitation and power loss.
What it is and how we do it
The filter protects the injection system by trapping particles and water in the fuel. It may sit under the car, in the tank or in the engine bay, depending on the model.
We replace it with the correct filter, minding flow direction and connections, and safely relieve system pressure. We check for leaks after the change.
Symptoms and when to come in
Misfires under acceleration, hesitation, hard starting, power loss on hills and the engine dying at idle are typical of a saturated filter.
Follow the manufacturer interval and change it sooner if you often run the tank very low or refuel at questionable stations.
Why it matters and why Mr. Service
A clogged filter makes the fuel pump work harder, risking damage, and lets dirt through that wears the injectors — far costlier repairs.
At Mr. Service we diagnose the symptom before replacing, use the correct part and test the result, on domestic and imported cars of all brands. Quote approved beforehand, a 3-month warranty on labour and service in Portuguese, English and Turkish.
