Timing belt replacement
Replacing the timing belt at the right interval prevents the worst failure of all: the one that can destroy the engine from the inside.
What we do
The timing belt keeps the engine in sync. On many vehicles, if it snaps the valves hit the pistons and the damage is severe. During replacement we fit the belt and, when recommended, the tensioner, pulleys and the water pump from the same kit, keeping the correct timing.
At Mr. Service we follow the interval and procedure specified for your engine and carefully verify the timing, because a small mistake here is costly.
When to replace
This is a preventive job, by mileage or time per the manufacturer — you do not wait for it to fail. Noises near the belt, nearby leaks or an unknown service history are reasons to check.
If you bought a used car and do not know when it was done, it is worth confirming. It is one of those items where prevention is far cheaper than repair.

Frequently asked questions
- How do I know it is due?
- It depends on the model, year and mileage. Give us those details and we check the recommended interval for your engine.
- Do I need to replace the tensioner and pump too?
- In many cases yes, as they work in the same kit. We note in the quote what is recommended for your car.
- Does it apply to imported cars?
- Yes, every brand. The work carries a 3-month warranty and the quote goes out before the job.
