Engine rebuild
An engine rebuild restores the heart of the car when wear or internal damage calls for more than a simple repair.
What it involves
A rebuild is the reconditioning of the engine: disassembly, measuring the parts, machining the block and cylinder head when needed, replacing worn items (gaskets, rings, bearings, seals and whatever the inspection shows) and reassembly within the manufacturer’s specifications.
At Mr. Service we open and measure before defining the scope. That is the only way we can give an honest quote, without promising what has not yet been verified.
When it is needed
High oil consumption, persistent smoke, loss of compression, internal knocking, overheating that damaged the engine or high mileage with falling performance can all lead to a rebuild.
It is a major job, so correct diagnosis is decisive: sometimes a targeted repair solves it; other times a rebuild is the more economical path in the medium term.
