Control arms & bushings
Control arms and bushings position the wheels and absorb impacts — as they age, steering loses precision and noises appear.
What it is and how it works
The control arm fixes the wheel to the chassis and sets part of the geometry; the rubber bushings at its ends absorb vibration and allow controlled movement. Many arms include an integrated ball joint.
At Mr. Service we inspect for cracked bushings and play in the arm and joint, and assess how wear affects alignment before deciding whether to replace a single bushing or the whole arm.
Symptoms and when to come in
Knocks under acceleration and braking, clunks over potholes, a shaky steering wheel, vague steering and uneven tire wear point to dried-out bushings or a loose arm.
Cracked or crushed bushings only get worse and directly affect stability — worth checking early.
Why it matters and why Mr. Service
The control arm is the base of the geometry: with play, alignment won’t hold and tires wear fast. It is a safety and drivability item. After replacement, alignment is mandatory.
We are a workshop in Chácara Santo Antônio, South Zone of São Paulo, serving all domestic and imported brands, with a detailed quote approved before we start, a 3-month labour warranty and service in Portuguese, English and Turkish.

- Yes; the replacement changes geometry and requires alignment.
- Imported cars too?
